How To Set Powerful Intentions for Your New Year 2022

It's a new year ahead and so much is changing in the world. While most people take some time to reflect on life's direction at the start of a new year, how many of the goals and intentions that they set actually come to fruition? In this article, I aim to give you some powerful tips for setting intentions and goals that manifest in your reality.

1. Adjust Your Energy

Before you set any new goal or intention, it is a good idea to balance and clear your energy. Make sure you are aligned with your higher self and firing on all cylinders. Consider an energy healing session to balance your body energy (chakras, etc.), boost your energy level, and clear out any non-beneficial energy that may interfere with your thoughts and intentions being as powerful as they possibly can be. You also might want to try a shamanic journey that allows you to connect with your higher self and spirit guides in a very real way and get insight and information that can help you fine-tune your intentions and the direction you want to head.

2. Write It Down

When you take time to write something down it has a chance to enter more clearly into your mind and, therefore, your reality. You can write an intention or goal down in a journal, but the best thing is to write it and place it somewhere you can see it every day. Try sticky notes, or use a dry erase marker to write intentions and goals on your bathroom or bedroom mirror. If you're more artistically inclined, try creating a piece of wall art that features your written intention. The unique crystal grids I create can help people set and remember powerful intentions too. The more you see or are reminded of your intention, the more likely you are to add power to the thought. When you bring your consciousness to a thought, you add power (energy) to it. Remember, everything is energy... and energy follows thought! Think about it.

3. Repeat It

As a dowser, I know it often takes a number of seconds, or maybe even a minute or two, for the energy of the intention you focus on to enter into effect. One repetition of an intention is usually not enough to bring it into reality, unless you are a very, very advanced being... in which case, you might not even exist in a human form anymore. However, as sure as I am that there could be exceptional human beings like that, I am also very certain that repeating your intention will energize it and help it to come into your reality. Now, that said, if you are repeating it non-stop 24/7 and declaring to yourself that nothing is happening, it's time to take a step back. It should only take a minute or two of repetition at most to energize the intention adequately. You might want to do that every day for a week or so, but there comes a point where you need to let go and trust the Universe will deliver at the right time. And that leads us to the next point...

4. Release It

Release it? Like, let it go? Don't think about it anymore? Move on with my life? Forget about what I want? Yes. To a large extent, yes. You have to trust your Higher Self knows, the Universe knows, Source knows... and usually knows a lot more than you know in this current time space reality in a human form that, yes, has some natural limitations when it comes to being able to calculate the complex mathematical equations that make up our intentions. So, release your intention, after you set it effectively as described above, and let the energy you send out come back to you in the most appropriate time and form.

5. Create Space for It

Now, that said, even though you've released a thing that you want, an intention or goal you have set for yourself, it's still a good idea to be prepared for the arrival of whatever that is. Sure, you can be on the lookout for it, and you can rearrange things in your life that will more readily accommodate that intention when it arrives. For example, if I say I want to start a successful Ebay business this year but then I don't take appropriate action to accommodate that, I will most likely miss out on the opportunity. I can convert my guest room into an Ebay storage facility. I can start stocking up on items to sell on Ebay. I can invest in a good camera and set up a space to take professional looking photos of the items I list on Ebay, set up a seller account, etc. Every intention you set carries with it practical steps you can take to create space for that intention to manifest. If you set an intention but then do not follow through on the practical earthly steps that create space for it to be, you will have a lot of intention energy in your energetic bank with nothing to spend it on.

6. Be Grateful for It

We hear a lot these days about how practicing gratitude helps to manifest things. But, how does that actually work? Well... my best guess is that it helps release energy blockages from thoughts along the lines of "I don't have", "I'll never have", and so on. If you want more and better food on your table, then be grateful for all of the great food you have. If you want a nicer car that runs great, then be grateful for the great car that you have (even if you don't think it's great, tell yourself it is, and treat it like a great car too-- get it the maintenance it needs, clean it lovingly, put some accessories in it that make you smile). If you want more money, then be grateful for all the money you do have, even if it doesn't seem like a lot to you, it's not going to multiply when your thoughts are "I don't have money", "I lack...", "I'm broke". If you want more love, be grateful for all of the love you have-- if you don't feel a whole lot of love from others, that's okay, because you always need to begin with loving yourself anyway.

7. Stay Tuned

Take measures to keep yourself tuned into guidance from your higher self and team of help in spirit, including your spirit guides. They are all here to help and can help give you insights and assistance on the way to your goals. Daily meditation can be an effective way of tuning in to your inner guidance system. Remember, not everyone is a silent sitting meditation type, you may be a more active meditator, so tune in while you're showering, driving, working in the garden, doing dishes, knitting, or anytime that you are doing a repetitive type task where you can listen-in. Another way to tune in to your inner guidance is to book a shamanic journey session or hypnosis session that helps you connect in a very real way with your higher self, guides, and other high vibrational helpers who are around you and assisting you at all times with your dreams and goals for your life.
